This Competency Standard Unit covers the performance of pole top rescue procedures as an emergency procedure required in the work place.

This unit is geared primarily towards individuals working within the Electricity Supply Industry.

It specifies the mandatory requirements of rescue from a pole top and how they apply in the context of transmission, distribution and rail work functions.

It encompasses responsibilities for rescue, health, safety and risk management processes at all operative levels and adherence to safety practices as part of the normal way of doing work.

Upon completion of this course, students will be issued the following national units of competency:

Working at Heights Courses

Under Australian WHS regulation, there is no minimum height requirement to be considered working at heights so long as there is a risk of a fall from one level to another.

If your business operations include working at heights, providing work-appropriate training for your staff is a mandatory requirement under the Victorian Occupational Health & Safety Act 2004 and the Australian Workplace Health & Safety Act 2011.

By obtaining your working at heights training with ISH24 you will be taking advantage of our purpose-built facilities which were designed with the view to provide each learner with the optimal hands-on experience through a variety of real-life scenarios.

Public Working at Heights training courses are scheduled roughly once per week at our East Bendigo Training centre.

How long Working at Heights training?

Working at Heights training is a full-day course (generally 8:30 am to 4:30 pm)

Exact course start times are listed on the confirmation email received upon enrolment.

 

What is the price of a Working at Heights course?

Working at Heights training is $300.00 GST free per person.

 

Where is your training facility located?

Working at Heights is generally delivered at our East Bendigo training facility located at 10 Trantara Court, East Bendigo VIC

Additional courses may be scheduled at our Goornong Training Centre (Central VIC) or Perth Training Centre (WA).

Do you take large group bookings for Working at Heights Training?

Currently, any courses delivered at our training facilities are capped at 10 students per class. This is to ensure that proper social distancing is maintained in our classrooms.

For on-site training, we may be able to deliver training to groups larger than 10 students; however, that is dependent on-site policies and the size of the available facilities.
