This class has been designed by ISH24 to introduce participants to the hazards and issues associated with grain entrapment/engulfment emergencies.
We teach the lifesaving skills and basic techniques to safely conduct initial rescue operations.
The classroom portion of the training includes the types of grain handling/storage facilities, hazards, and associated rescue problems.
As part of the training, participants will apply selected rescue techniques to safely retrieve victims from grain engulfment in a simulated grain bin rescue operation. They will also experience the effects of grain entrapment and perform self-rescue procedures.
The ISH24 Team are highly skilled and have extensive work experience when it comes to rescue, specialising in both Industrial Rescue and Mine Rescue. Our crew are out in the field daily making rescues and saving lives. We appreciate the unique differences associated with different types of rescue and have the skills and experience to pass this knowledge onto learners.
Our purpose-built training facilities allow us to simulate real-life scenarios, giving you the best possible hands-on training. Our facilities include heights towers, multiple-entry confined space containers, grain bins and silos, ladders, rope access points, etc.
